In the analytical review we examine the discourses around the phenomenon of care of the Self in mass culture, political sciences, psychology of morality and sociology. Care of the Self is presented not only as a mechanism of maintaining and developing of the identity of the individual. In the context of modern societies the practices of care of the Self allow the individual to return meaning to his life, to conform to the moral ideals and to show creativity, adapting to the world.
