The article is critique on the monorraph by Vitaliy Tichonov "The Mockow Hisrorical School in first half on XX centure. The sсientific heritage by U.V. Gotie, S.B. Veselovsky, A.I. Yakovlev and S.V. Bachrushin".
The monograph studies on of the most interesting phenomena of Russien historical science - the St. Petersburg School of mediavalists, wich em erged in the early twentieth century and included a number prominent scientists - Lev Karsavin, Nicolay Ottocar, Olga Dobiash-Rozhdestvenskaya, Matvey Gukovsky and others. The monograrh discusses in detail life, scientific and educational work of the school leader, Professsor Ivan Grevs, his relationship with studens.
The mutual understanding in the evaluation of common past, reached recently by Russian and Polish historians, doesn't yet properly reflect in the practice of school teaching. Hence the importance of the bilateral project aimed at the preparation of training aids for school teachers, which started in summer 2013. An interest in the history of Russian-Polish relations formed at secondary school will ensure an inflow of students to relevant departments of universities, including those which work under international double degree programs. Contemporary Russian-Polish relations have a great capacity of development and need young professionals.
Studies of post-war Soviet historiography are heavily concentrated around the issues of party control in and resistance of intellectuals. Giving an account of the historical periodicals author seeks to correct this approach in the perspective of the history of science, sociology of culture and cultural policy studies . The article addresses 1) the problem of definition and characteristics of the transformation of the corpus of historical periodicals in the 1950s - 1960s, and 2) interrelation of the new political, economical and media conditions and changes in the management practices and communication strategies of the academic periodicals .
The article compares the well-known socially-oriented interpretations of the phenomenon of memory with the most interesting new elaborations by Russian scholars in philosophy, psychology, linguistics, and cultural studies. It is shown that the conceptualisations of memory aiming to overcome the dichotomy of individual and super-individual discover the path to synthesis in history.
The paper analyses the radical transformations that took place in the theoretical foundations, methodology and conceptual models of historical science at the border of the XX - XXI centuries. The changes in research strategies of recent historiography are considered as an outcome of the fruitful interaction of different disciplines in the common space of social sciences and humanities. The author estimates the cognitive potential of new theoretical models aiming to restore the integrity of historical vision of the past.
