The article reveals the methodology for assessing the impact on the discipline of employees such factors as working conditions, relationships with colleagues and supervisor, control by superiors, expectations and leadership. The main feature of the methodology is in taking into consideration extensive branch network. All stages of the methodology are illustrated and discussed in detail through the example of the research carried out in one of the St.-Petersburg bank. Method can be used to improve social management practices in departments of credit institutions with a view to preventing violations of discipline.
