Reflections on the International Dimension of the Russian Legal Order 20 years after the adoption of the Russian Constitution
In view of the 20th anniversary of the Russian Constitution the author gives her reflections on the role and importance of this document for the building of new society and State in post-soviet Russia. The undoubted achievements of the Russian constitutionalism include, among others, the creation of a legal basis for the integration of the Russian legal system in the international legal landscape and the determination of the role and status of international law in the national legal order. However, currently the Russian legal system has confronted an issue of the resolution of conflicts arising between national (constitutional) and supranational norms. The ways of their resolution are seen, first of all, in a dialogue of different legal orders.
