Self Rewards and Personal Motivation
Enterprises often need to make a choice of the development vector of its activities among the various existing strategic alternatives. The use of the methodology offered in this article is based on the selection and the degree ranging of external factors, that influence the company. The proposed model can lead to a quickly choose of the priority within the company objectives of possible alternatives. The article consist of the determinative constructed algorithm, from the selection and evaluation procedures of factors influence degree on the enterprise development up to the assessment criteria of the set goals.
In the article we describe a conceptual model, goals, tasks and functions of logistics controlling. Some results of German logistics controlling survey of Kuepper and Hoffmann are shown. We also announce the first results of our Russian-German empirical survey of logistics controlling which was conducted in cooperation of International Training-Center for Logistics (www.mclog.ru) and German consultancy Barkawi Management Consulting (www.barkawi.de) in 2011.
Self-control is understood as the ability of the individual to manage his behavior and emotions, thoughtfully react to events that happen around him, and to prevent himself from acting out of undesirable impulses and emotions. This article presents two studies that sought to validate a Russian-language version of the Brief Self-Control Scale that was developed by June P. Tangney, Roy F. Baumeister, and Angie Luzio Boone. The studies tested samples of employees (n = 591) and students (n = 328), respectively, using the scale consisting of 13 items. We demonstrate the one-dimensional structure of the scale using confirmatory factor analysis. The scale has high reliability (Cronbach alpha of 0.84 and 0.79), and it demonstrates predictable current and potential future relationships with self-reported and objective indicators of academic and professional success. Selfcontrol is associated with indicators of successful functioning and well-being. The obtained connections retain statistical reliability when controlling for social desirability. The results show that selfcontrol is an important personal-motivational resource that contributes to success in life and improving psychological well-being.
The world is changing rapidly. The novelty, variability, uncertainty of the future – have become the norm of life. Internal motivation, initiative, self-regulation become important vital qualities. The development of not only cognition, but also meta-knowledge becomes the norm of educational practice. It is important that education in this situation develops subjectivity and the ability to preadaptation. At the same time, it is important that the practice of education develops on the basis of psychological research. A review of existing studies is given and planned experimental studies in this direction are described.
Smoking is a problem, bringing signifi cant social and economic costs to Russiansociety. However, ratifi cation of the World health organization Framework conventionon tobacco control makes it possible to improve Russian legislation accordingto the international standards. So, I describe some measures that should be taken bythe Russian authorities in the nearest future, and I examine their effi ciency. By studyingthe international evidence I analyze the impact of the smoke-free areas, advertisementand sponsorship bans, tax increases, etc. on the prevalence of smoking, cigaretteconsumption and some other indicators. I also investigate the obstacles confrontingthe Russian authorities when they introduce new policy measures and the public attitudetowards these measures. I conclude that there is a number of easy-to-implementanti-smoking activities that need no fi nancial resources but only a political will.
One of the most important indicators of company's success is the increase of its value. The article investigates traditional methods of company's value assessment and the evidence that the application of these methods is incorrect in the new stage of economy. So it is necessary to create a new method of valuation based on the new main sources of company's success that is its intellectual capital.
