This article presents the reconstruction of the journey to Germany that S.T. Coleridge undertook in 1798-1799 and examines this issue as an important stage of development of the English poet-philosopher. We are speaking about his studies at Goettingen University in view of the influence of some ideas of his German professors ‒ the classical philologist C.G.Heyne and the anthropologist J.F. Blumenbach on his aesthetics and philosophy. We as well consider his passion for Kantian metaphysics, translations and renderings of German verse, as the interpretative experiments to «transfer» German «poetic forms». The text of “Satyrane's letters” (1809-1810) gives us an unusual sum up of Coleridge's literary and philosophic experience as a traveller. We interpret composition of the text as the space of romantic imagination where Mount Brocken and Witches Night (Walpurgisnacht) are highest peaks.

The article analyzes five russian translations of the poem by E.E. Cummings, one of the most prominent avant-garde poets of the twentieth century. In the last decade in Russia we have seen a growing interest in his poetry, which increases the number of transfers. Author of the article attracted the fact that there are several translations of the poem “anyone lived in a pretty how town”, made by modern poets-translators V. Britanishsky, D. Kuzmin, M. Stepanova, Ja. Probshteyn, S. Boychenko. The author analyzes the specific translation solutions, which took the authors to convey agrammatism of Cummings’ poetry in Russian. Comparing these five very different poetic texts with the original, the author tries to reveal the strategy of translation of each poet-translator. Considered translations demonstrate different attitudes of their authors to the language norm. According to the degree of clarity and focus on the recipient these translations can be arranged in descending order of the characteristics: Probshteyn’s translation most clear, transparent, made with the installation on the reader, the next is Kuzmin’s translation, then Stepanova’s one, the most "free" attitude to the language normally shows Boychenko’s text. A special case is Britanishsky’s translation that carries the grammatical complexity of the original to lexis and word formation. His translation in the grammatical relation is normative, but at the level of vocabulary translator takes a step toward the occasionality that weigh down the text and makes the translation marginal. The original, which has several translations, enters the interpreters arsenal and becomes a way of establishing communication between the translated texts. There are ternary relations in which the translation is an instrument of cultural transfer.
Spoliations de guerre et transferts culturels: Le cas du cinéma soviétique (1939-1949).
The article is devoted to the description of the "Brief Literary Encyclopedia", which was published from 1962 to 1978. Based on the analysis of criticism, research interviews, archival materials related to some articles and individual authors of the encyclopedia, it is concluded that the publication is important for the history of Soviet cultural communities.
The paper analyzes the dynamic changes in the discourses of aging and old age in the Anglophone culture. Aging is interpreted as a discursive construction which is created in culture and through culture. The paper deals with the concept of chronological age and analyzes its bureaucratization, defines the role of the old age pension in identifying the onset of old age, traces the evolution of the concept ‘old' in the Anglophone culture, lists factors that shape the perception of aging and old age and contribute to their romantic interpretation in the 21st century, describes attempts at regulating the Anglophone discourses of aging and old age through local language interventions and global discursive reconstructions. The paper considers a possibility of cultural transfers of the most successful discursive patterns into the Russian culture.
The article discusses the possible reasons for the appearance/existence of close images in different cultures for a long time. Analysis of images Rankenfrau, Πόθνια θηρών and Luristan Master/Mistress-of-Animals resulted in the conclusion that the presence of similar iconographic schemes. In the II Millennium BC monuments from the Aegean World presented a variety of visual options, which could later be used in the artistic cultures of Iran and the Aegean World of the I-th Millennium BC. As a hypothesis, the conclusion is formulated that the proximity of images can be justified both by the existence of archetypal representations, and be the result of cultural transfer.
