The article is based on the results obtained by participants research seminar the faculty of business Informatics of the Higher School of Economics. Objective – to study the possibilities of learning management as a process and application of modern information technologies and tools. The learning process is defined as joint activity of participants for organization of study discipline, receive regular and procedural knowledge. For research the learning process discipline "Modeling and optimization of business processes" was chosen. The features of learning process, requirements of process management, modeling and assessment capabilities of automated process management were defined. The analysis is based on information of real process Faculty of Business Informatics. Requirements for learning process were identified. Different notations for modeling were used: eEPC (ARIS); interaction diagram and behavior diagram (Metasonic). It was shown that satisfaction of requirements for process is provided on subject-oriented approach and it is almost impossible for classical approach. Principles of sharing the learning process into smaller processes, process models (interaction diagrams and behavior diagrams of subjects) are developed. Possibility of changing process management with help of subjects (teachers, students) without programming, including the automated generation of workflow application were presented. Results of research can be useful for any organization thinking about the transition from traditional rigid structure to a more modern reflexive organization with network communications.
This book constitutes the proceedings of the First Asia Pacific Conference on Business Process Management held in Beijing, China, in August 2013.
In all, 19 contributions from seven countries were submitted. Following an extensive review process by an international Program Committee, seven full papers and one short paper were accepted for publication in this book and presentation at the conference. In addition, a keynote by Wil van der Aalst is also included.
This volume collects all scientific contributions to the workshops at S-BPM ONE 2018. During the conference, they are presented and discussed jointly with practitioners’ contributions in a series of interactive half-day workshops.
Business Process Management (BPM) has become one of the most widely used approaches for the design of modern organizational and information systems. This article presents the up-to-date views on the continuous education and the tendencies to business-education development. The learning during the whole life is the vital necessity of our days. The peculiarity of the continuous education consists in the way of the payment for it. It can be payed by the organization which is interested in the improvement of the professional skills of the employees or by the employees themselves, if they participate in the continuous education program. In the framework of this logic the business -education is some special field of the continuous education. Now days business-education and continuous education are some definite system.
An experimental approach was created for the comparative investigation of the cognitive abilities of the glaucous-winged gull (Larus glaucescens) in their natural habitat. The territoriality of gulls during the breeding period and the fact that the gulls inhabiting the territory of the Komandorsky Reserve are practically not in fear of humans allowed us to work with individually recognized birds directly at their nest sites inside the colony. The possibility of using this approach to investigate their cognitive abilities was demonstrated on 24 gulls, in particular, to investigate their abilities for relative size generalization. The first experiment illustrated that the gulls are able to learn to discriminate two pairs of stimuli according to the feature: 'larger' or 'smaller'. They were then given a test to transfer the discriminative rule in which novel combinations of the same stimuli were used. The gulls successfully coped with only a few of these tests. In the next experiment the birds were taught to discriminate four pairs of similar stimuli. The majority of the birds coped with the tests to transfer the discriminative rule both to the novel combinations of familiar stimuli, and also to the novel stimuli of the familiar category (items of different colour and shape). However, none of the birds transferred the discriminative rule to stimuli of a novel category (sets differing by number of components). Thus, in their ability to generalize at a preconceptual level gulls are more comparable with pigeons, whereas large-brained birds (crows and parrots), are capable of concept formation.
The paper discusses the phenomenon of self-reflection as a philosophical issue, as an object of psychological investigation and as a characteristic of human existence. The paper is focused on the problem of ambivalence of self-reflective processes. Some studies highlight the connection of self-reflection with depression, neuroticism and pessimism while other works underline the positive role of self-reflection in adjustment and self-regulation processes. To resolve this contradiction a differential model of self-reflection which distinguishes several types of reflective self-attitude including types supporting and hindering effective self-regulation of life activity is proposed.
Students' internet usage attracts the attention of many researchers in different countries. Differences in internet penetration in diverse countries lead us to ask about the interaction of medium and culture in this process. In this paper we present an analysis based on a sample of 825 students from 18 Russian universities and discuss findings on particularities of students' ICT usage. On the background of the findings of the study, based on data collected in 2008-2009 year during a project "A сross-cultural study of the new learning culture formation in Germany and Russia", we discuss the problem of plagiarism in Russia, the availability of ICT features in Russian universities and an evaluation of the attractiveness of different categories of ICT usage and gender specifics in the use of ICT.
The paper examines the structure, governance, and balance sheets of state-controlled banks in Russia, which accounted for over 55 percent of the total assets in the country's banking system in early 2012. The author offers a credible estimate of the size of the country's state banking sector by including banks that are indirectly owned by public organizations. Contrary to some predictions based on the theoretical literature on economic transition, he explains the relatively high profitability and efficiency of Russian state-controlled banks by pointing to their competitive position in such functions as acquisition and disposal of assets on behalf of the government. Also suggested in the paper is a different way of looking at market concentration in Russia (by consolidating the market shares of core state-controlled banks), which produces a picture of a more concentrated market than officially reported. Lastly, one of the author's interesting conclusions is that China provides a better benchmark than the formerly centrally planned economies of Central and Eastern Europe by which to assess the viability of state ownership of banks in Russia and to evaluate the country's banking sector.
The manual is intended for students of Department of computer engineering MIEM HSE. In the textbook based on the courses "Economics of firm" and "the development strategy of the organization." Discusses the key conceptual and methodological issues of the theory and practice of Economics and development planning of the organization. The use of textbooks will enable students: to analyze key performance indicators, and use the tools of strategic analysis with reference to concrete situations in contemporary Russian and international business. Special attention is paid to the methods and systems of information support of the life support functions of business organizations and management methodology of innovation and investment. An Appendix contains source data for analysis of competition in a particular industry.
The paper provides a number of proposed draft operational guidelines for technology measurement and includes a number of tentative technology definitions to be used for statistical purposes, principles for identification and classification of potentially growing technology areas, suggestions on the survey strategies and indicators. These are the key components of an internationally harmonized framework for collecting and interpreting technology data that would need to be further developed through a broader consultation process. A summary of definitions of technology already available in OECD manuals and the stocktaking results are provided in the Annex section.
Over the last two decades national policy makers drew special attention to the implementation of policy tools which foster international cooperation in the fields of science, technology, and innovation. In this paper, we look at cases of Russian-German collaboration to examine the initiatives of the Russian government aimed at stimulating the innovation activity of domestic corporations and small and medium enterprises. The data derived from the interviews with companies’ leaders show positive effects of bilateral innovative projects on the overall business performance alongside with major barriers hindering international cooperation. To overcome these barriers we provide specific suggestions relevant to the recently developed Russian Innovation Strategy 2020.
