. The aim of the research is to reveal the main problems of the Occitan language standardization and integration into the state communication sphere through the example of France as the largest region of the Occitan language spreading. The scientific novelty of the work lies in the fact that the research subject is for the first time the current position of the Occitan language in Europe from the point of view of linguistics and public administration. As a result, it has been proved that the dialect structure of the Occitan language is not an obstacle to its integration into the state communication sphere; also causes for failure of initiatives to include the Occitan language into the state communication sphere have been specified and an algorithm of actions has been determined in order to achieve success in integrating the Occitan language into the state communication sphere.
