А. В. Сухово-Кобылин и А. Н. Островский в шекспировских отражениях (по архивным материалам)
The monograph is devoted to various aspects of the work and biography of the playwright and philosopher Alexander Vasilyevich Sukhovo-Kobylin, whose legacy occupies a special place in Russian culture of the XIX–XXI centuries. The first section of the book includes historical and philological research, literary analysis of the dramatic trilogy "Pictures about the Walking". The second section is devoted to the theater and the stage history of plays Sukhovo-Kobylina in Russia and abroad. The third section is related to the complex and dramatic history of the Sukhovo-Kobylin archive and the documents of several generations of his family. Valuable sources are published and materials not previously known. The monograph includes a bibliography of new editions of Sukhovo-Kobylin and recent works devoted to the development of his legacy and biography. The repertoire table presented in the final part of the book gives an idea of the productions of Sukhovo-Kobylin's plays in different cities of Russia in the XXI century.
