Functioning the forms of address in modern communication characterized by destruction of previous system, established during the USSR’era, and gradual, though not always apparent formation of a new system, an absence of stylistically neutral forms of address to an unknown person, the influence of foreign-languages traditions of etiquette, the frequent violation of the rules of etiquette in the media, the emergence of new trends related to the emergence of new spheres and situations of communication, the expansion in speech non-standard vocatives. All these factors explain the reasons for the large diversity of forms of address , currently used. New trends in modern communication is devoted this article.
