Иммигранты-африканцы и их восприятие расизма и дискриминации во Франции
Even though the French society is making efforts to overcome racist stereotypes, the "invisibility" of racism in the public sphere does not mean that the African immigrants are not experience racism and racial discrimination directed at them. Their higher "visibility" in European society means that they still have to face hard-to-solve problems. And even though they consider France to be to some extent "their" country as well, as it is linked with many African countries by their "common" history of colonialism, and they themselves are brought up in the framework of French culture, they are unpleasantly surprised when discovering that they are treated as the "Others" and that their otherness is largely determined by the color of their skin.
