Professional Skills of a Translator as a Key to Success in Cross-Cultural Communication Related to Business, Politics and Law
Today, fortunately, we are definitely moving away from the times of unfair devaluation of the profession of a translator that was observed during the years of perestroika till the end of the last century. The professional skills of a translator or interpreter are in great demand in business nowadays, particularly in those companies which really appreciate quality and their professional image. The job of a translator is no longer considered as mere reiteration (copy) of other people’s thoughts and ideas typical of a doll but, quite on the contrary, is recognized as a type of creative activity where accuracy and professional experience are of extreme necessity.
