There are three main research objectives with this study: first, to examine Russia’s academic and political discourses on the AC; second, to study Moscow’s policies on and within the Council in the aftermath of the Ukrainian crisis; finally, to discuss Russia’s possible future strategy with regard to the Council, including its agenda during the Russian AC presidency in 2021–2023.
