The rapid escalation of digital expanse, covering the entire life of modern society, is accompanied by an explosive growth in information flows. This process especially affects the educational environment, for which the exchange of information is the principle of existence. The platform discussed in the article makes it possible to unify the formats of created and stored information, ensuring the creation of a unified multi-level digital educational environment. On this platform, the information system “MSU Knowledge Ark” is being built, which is an online scientific library containing lectures, textbooks, scientific articles and a network encyclopedia on various fields of knowledge, as well as a multimedia data repository. The Ark materials, generated by the university expert community, are an important source of information for creating encyclopedic articles on the Great Russian Encyclopedia portal.
