The collection of articles is dedicated to the history and historical memory of the solidarity of the Soviet Union and its successor Russia in the struggle against apartheid in South Africa. The book describes how interaction took place in different areas of cooperation: military, humanitarian and economic. The book contain interviews with the Soviet veterans who recall various aspects of their work with the ANC and the memories of MK cadres who remember how they happened to come to the Soviet Union and how this experience affected their lives.
