Ключевые факторы положительных изменений в университетской среде
The article considers the factors that might facilitate as well as hinder the attainment of educational goals inherent to teaching English for professional purposes within the system of higher education. Two key principles are addressed in the article: achieving common understanding of goals and sharing ideas on the ways of their attainment, which might imply provisions or deviation from formal standards; principle of effective control and feedback by using comprehensive data. There exist several approaches to considering the key principles: pedagogical, education-pragmatic and social. Insight into their functioning in a real university environment from different perspectives is undertaken. The aim is to observe the impact of different factors on the attainment of educational goals under changing circumstances. Achieving of common understanding among different stakeholders along with a reasonable control and feedback present a strong trigger for achieving any goals. A system of balancing and integrating measures supported by competent loyal governance can bring positive outcomes into teaching English and ensure quality in higher education institutions.
