Annotation. Modern interdisciplinary approaches to understanding human creative activity are discussed, and the multiversal approach is taken as the central one here. The multiversality of creativity means the multiplicity of worlds of a creative personality, the production of many meanings by him, the ambiguity and alternative ways of developing thoughts, reframing existing knowledge, the speed and unexpectedness of changing visual images and turns of thought like in a kaleidoscope, unusual use of familiar material, creating and recreating one’s own surrounding world, back affecting the creator. As satellite approaches to the multiversal approach, the complexity approach (in the conceptual framework of the theory of complex systems), the enactive approach (active integration of a creative person into the environment and creation of his own environment, rebuilding the creator himself) and the approach from the point of view of bricolage (new and unusual use of familiar material, creation of novelty from something routine and always at hand). The conceptions of many worlds (multiverse) developed in various fields of natural science, social and humanitarian knowledge provide us with some non-traditional methodological tools for understanding the multiversality of creativity.
