Scientists Develop Algorithm for More Reliable Processors in Data Centres
Researchers from HSE MIEM and Samara University have developed the LRF-3D algorithm to automatically bypass idle nodes in three-dimensional networks-on-chip. Thanks to its hierarchical architecture, the algorithm outperforms existing solutions in both speed and path accuracy, improving processor reliability for use in data centres, supercomputers, and AI computing. The source code and test results are publicly available.

Researchers Develop Method for Direct Generation of Regulatory DNA
Researchers at HSE University have developed a model for generating promoters and enhancers—DNA sequences that regulate gene activity. The model works directly with DNA nucleotides, without first transforming them into a continuous numerical representation. This solution could be useful for applications in synthetic biology and gene therapy. The study results were presented at the ICLR 2026 Workshop ‘Generative AI in Genomics (Gen^2): Barriers and Frontiers.’

Social Integration: At the Crossroads of Knowledge and Values
The International Laboratory for Social Integration Research (ILSIR) at HSE University studies the challenges faced by vulnerable groups and explores ways to help them participate fully in everyday life. To develop effective solutions, the laboratory’s researchers combine cutting-edge methods with practical fieldwork. In this interview with the HSE News Service, Laboratory Head Elena Iarskaia-Smirnova discusses the laboratory’s work.

Quantum viscosity mechanism of dissipative dynamics in the Dicke model expressed via Lindblad equation of motion
Beck M. E., Seidov S., Mukhin S., Physical Review A: Atomic, Molecular, and Optical physics 2026
Quantum dissipation is studied in the superradiant phase of the extended Dicke model. It is demonstrated analytically by quantum mechanical derivation of the Lindblad equation for the Dicke model in the superradiant state coupled to Caldeira-Leggett thermal bath that the effective viscosity appearing in the semiclassical equations of motion of polaritonic condensate survives in the zero-temperature limit ...

Quantum Dicke battery supercharging in the bound-luminosity state
S. S. Seidov, Mukhin S. I., Physical Review A: Atomic, Molecular, and Optical physics 2024 Vol. 109 No. 2 Article 022210
Quantum batteries, which are quantum systems to be used for storage and transformation of energy, are attracting research interest recently. A promising candidate for their investigation is the Dicke model, which describes an ensemble of two–level systems interacting with a single–mode electromagnetic wave in a resonator cavity. In order to charge the battery, a coupling between the ensemble of ...

Fluctuations and photon statistics in a quantum metamaterial near a superradiant transition
Shapiro D. S., Rubtsov A. N., Remizov S. V. et al., Physical Review A: Atomic, Molecular, and Optical physics 2019 Vol. 99 No. 6 Article 063821
The analysis of single-mode photon fluctuations and their counting statistics at the superradiant phase transition is presented. The study concerns the equilibrium Dicke model in a regime where the Rabi frequency, related to a coupling of the photon mode with a finite-number qubit environment, plays the role of the transition's control parameter. We use the ...

Universal fluctuations and squeezing in a generalized Dicke model near the superradiant phase transition
D. S. Shapiro, Pogosov W. V., Yu. E. Lozovik, Physical Review A: Atomic, Molecular, and Optical physics 2020 Vol. 102 No. 2 P. 023703-1–023703-15
In view of recent proposals for the realization of anisotropic light-matter interaction in such platforms as (i) nonstationary or inductively and capacitively coupled superconducting qubits, (ii) atoms in crossed fields, and (iii) semiconductor heterostructures with spin-orbital interaction, the concept of a generalized Dicke model, where coupling strengths of rotating wave and counter-rotating wave terms are ...

A.S. Boldyrev, ATLAS C., A.S. Maevskiy, Physical Review D - Particles, Fields, Gravitation and Cosmology 2018 Vol. 97 No. 072003 P. 1–44
A search for the associated production of the Higgs boson with a top quark pair (t¯tH) is reported. The search is performed in multilepton final states using a data set corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 36.1  fb−1 of proton-proton collision data recorded by the ATLAS experiment at a center-of-mass energy √s=13  TeV at the Large Hadron ...

A.S. Boldyrev, A.S. Maevskiy, ATLAS C., Physics Letters B 2018 Vol. 784 P. 173–191
The observation of Higgs boson production in association with a top quark pair (tt¯H), based on the analysis of proton-proton collision data at a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV recorded with the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider, is presented. A search for the Standard Model Higgs boson produced in association with a top-quark pair, tt¯H, is presented. The analysis uses 36.1 fb-1 of pp collision data at √s = 13 TeV, collected with the ATLAS detector at the Large Hadron Collider in 2015 and 2016. The search targets the H→bb¯ decay mode.
