As a key issue of the XII International Conference "Research Activities of Students in the Modern Educational Space", held in Moscow in November 2023, "Research Activities of Students in the New Normality: Real, Virtual, Remote" was chosen. This topic naturally arose after the period of the pandemic and the forced situation of mass use of online formats for the implementation of educational practice, including the implementation of research activities of students. The developments and studies of the effects of involvement, motivation and self-efficacy of students engaged in research on digital platforms have led us to reasonable recommendations for improving these practices already in the situation of returning to offline learning formats. The main parameters of the model of online circles accompanying the research activities of students are presented.
