Феномен внимания в информационной среде: экономика внимания
The modern economy revolves more and more around the concentration of human attention, which means that the principles of attention management are the determining factor in the functioning of such an economy. Attention regulates how people interact with the world, both individually and socially. In addition, attracting attention and then reselling it is now a mass business. Following the direction in behavioral economics, concerning the problem of limited attention and its economic consequences, this article summarize studies of the phenomenon of attention, relevant in the context of making economic decisions, discusses in detail the concept of "attention economy", which is associated not only with the distribution of scarce attention in an information-rich world, but also considers attention as a basic need, as currency, wealth and capital, and also considers the role of brands and "micro-stars". It is important that the modern approach to presenting information implies, on the one hand, offering "solutions by default", counting on a person's tendency to prefer these solutions, on the other hand, personalized offers grab attention quickly or even automatically, pursuing the goal of materializing it. This trend in the long term leads to the degradation of the ability to think systematically and analyze information. Thus, the development of a strategy for effective attention management comes to the fore, which, on the one hand, would take into account the clip nature of thinking, but would allow minimizing cognitive biases, and on the other hand, would provide a kind of semantic compression of information instead of a “ready-made” response, and thus contributed to knowledge. In this context, topic modeling is a toolkit suitable for managing attention and promoting cognition, the inclusion of which in the discourse of behavioral economics and economics of attention is an urgent future task
