Привязанность к дому и психологическое благополучие у студентов из Армении и России
Many studies show that place attachment correlates with well-being. The purpose of the study is a comparative analysis of home attachment and psychological well-being of students from Armenia and Russia. We proposed that the relationship between psychological well-being and home attachment determined by the cultural specifics of the socialization. 233 students from Armenia and Russia participated in the survey. The results indicate a difference in the relationship between home attachment and psychological well-being among students from Armenia and Russia. Students from Armenia, in contrast to students from Russia, have a significant relationship between psychological well-being and home attachment. The results also point to the gender aspect of this problem. Students from Russia differ in relatively low level of psychological well-being, and students from Armenia - in relatively high level of home attachment. Female students from Armenia, who would not want to live away from home to study at a university, significantly differ from female students from Russia in psychological well-being and home attachment. Based on the results, we concluded that female students may be a vulnerable group, and support in the process of their study should be in the focus of sociopsychological and other services of universities.
