The Covid-19 pandemic, the geopolitical situation, and new challenges in the context of Russia's economic war declared by the collective West dictate the need for further improvement of Russian labor legislation.
Therefore, the study describes the problems of remote work, the essence of the approaches used in the legal regulation of these relations, the issues of the formation of legislation of this category, both on an international scale and within the Russian legal system. The study defines the international and European framework for the regulation of distance relations, analyzes the normative basis of these relations that took place in Russian legal reality, as well as the prospects and problems of their further development vector, analyzes the issues of the implementation of the rights and obligations of remote employees, as well as the features that distinguish these legal relations from similar ones.
