Роль исправительно-трудовых лагерей НКВД в фильтрации советских граждан (1943–1948 гг.)
In the labor camps of the NKVD, soldiers who returned from enemy captivity and encirclement, ordinary collaborators and suspicious civilians were filtered. These people were supposed to be send to the NKVD filtration camps specially created for this task, but they also entered the labor camps in large numbers. This article, on the basis of the documentation of the NKVD central departments, deals with the causes and extent of filtration in the Vorkuta and Unzha labor camps in 1943–1944, researches the principles of temporal imprisonment of a new group of the inmates. Then it identifies the camps involved in the filtration since the summer of 1945 during the repatriation period. The process of their opening and closing is reconstructed, data on the movement of the inmates and their total number is given, the quality of the departmental statistics and its data about the different groups among the inmates are analyzed.
