The article analyzes thr theoretical approaches of two representatives of the German thought of the 1-st third of the XX century - of a partisan of the sociology of the right E. Frenkel and of the founder of the finance sociology R. Goldscheid. The ideological basis and methodological approaches employed in the investigations of the history of state and right are researched. The studies of the two scientists give a view of the state of german science and enrich the methodology of the domestic sciense.
