The transition to a sustainable type of economic growth, including climate and energy transitions, responsible management, is complicated by the pandemic and subsequent structural changes in the economy. Of particular relevance is the financing of the transition to sustainable development at the regional level. This article attempts to answer the following questions: how applicable are the instruments of sustainable, primarily "green" financing in the Russian economy? Which instruments are most suitable for regional economies? What are the prospects for sustainable financing at all levels of economic activity?
