En el presente artículo se examinan las relaciones bilaterales entre los dos países ibéricos: España y Portugal. El objetivo del artículo es analizar las relaciones luso-españolas, en particular, las persectivas y los desafíos de la creación de Iberolux, un modelo similar al Benelux. Se examinan las persectivas políticas, económicas, los desafíos históricos, lingüísticos y los desafíos planteados por COVID-19. Aunque hasta ahora este tipo de la reunión es solo una idea, hay buenas razones para suponer que en el futuro habrá un nuevo tipo de integración en el marco la Unión Europea. Pero al mismo tiempo también hay ciertos desafíos que complican las relaciones bilaterales.
