The article is dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory. The problems of historical truth are considered, the decision of the European Parliament of September 19, 2019, which imposed equal responsibility for unleashing the Second World War on Nazi Germany and the USSR, is criticized. Our approach to this issue is outlined. On the basis of previously unpublished archival materials (correspondence of front-line soldiers), the high morale of Soviet soldiers, their aspiration for Victory is shown. The article raises the question of the need for more energetic and effective work aimed at restoring historical facts.
