In work authors carried out calculation of probability of approach of a default of banks by means of a statistical packet of STATA based on selection of data on the Russian banks from 2004 to 2014, and taking into account refining of concept a default, and the related characteristics that allowed to correct the used set of indicators in assessment model. The final explaining variables in models got out in economic sense; some insignificant variables in process of identification "were removed". High values of statistics of Wald (Waldchi2) and their expert evaluation in general testify to the importance of the received regressions
