ВИРТУАЛЬНАЯ РЕАЛЬНОСТЬ КАК КОМПОНЕНТ ВИРТУАЛЬНОЙ СРЕДЫ ОБУЧЕНИЯ
The paper analyses key trends in the development of modern education in Russia and around the world. The authors focus on the use of information and communication technologies in this process and suggest that this causes various models of virtual educational environment to emerge. The article discusses two such models which prevail in Russia today: one proposed by Dmitry Bayandin and the other presented in the Federal State Educational Standards of the third generation. The authors observe the structural isomorphism of these models based on the fact that each has two key sets of elements, specifically, didactic materials on the subject under study and electronic student portfolios. Finally, the role of virtual reality in a virtual educational environ- ment is considered. The authors conclude that virtual reality may be used as a means, a method and technology of education, and outline the prospects and risks of using virtual reality in the ed- ucational process.
