Solvent-Driven Surface-State Reconstruction of ZnMgO for Stable Blue QLEDs
Zhou J., Zhou X., Zaman N. et al., ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces 2026 Vol. 18 No. 36 P. 49359–49369
Blue QLEDs face a critical challenge in balancing high luminous efficiency with operational stability, primarily due to uncontrolled electron injection and interfacial trap-assisted recombination. Here, we present a facile aqueous ZnCl2 post-treatment strategy to engineer ZnMgO (ZMO) electron transport layers (ETLs). This approach leverages a synergistic mechanism of hydrolysis-induced recrystallization and chloride-mediated surface passivation to transform ...

Temperature-driven structural crossover of vortex matter in a Penrose quasicrystal
Tomayeva M., Vyacheslav D. Neverov, Arkady A. Shanenko et al., Physical Review B: Condensed Matter and Materials Physics 2026 Vol. 114 No. 2 Article 024516
We report a thermally driven structural crossover of vortex matter in a two-dimensional superconducting Penrose quasicrystal. At low temperatures, vortices are pinned by the quasiperiodic lattice, forming an aperiodic pattern. With increasing temperature, vortex-vortex interactions dominate, leading to a conventional triangular Abrikosov lattice. Our findings reveal a tunable interplay between intrinsic pinning and vortex interactions, ...
