This article examines the features of the internal structure of individual residential areas with a diverse ethnic and social composition. Field studies were carried out in the Ryazan City. The main goal thesis article is to determine to the principle of ethnic households in individual residential areas of a large city. Are there spatial patterns? Assimilation takes place [Park, Miler: 61] with local residents or a homogeneous environment is gradually formed from people from the same ethnic or geographical area. The research results showed that wealthy households most often live separately from representatives of the same ethnic group, while households that classified themselves as poor and vulnerable in terms of income, most often live in communities of 4–5 households located nearby.
