Апробация новой шкалы апатии в психиатрической практике

The article presents the results of the approbation of a new apathy scale in psychiatric practice. On the material of the clinical sample (52 female patients of the Omsk Clinical Psychiatric Hospital named N.N. Solodnikova), it is shown that a new apathy scale is a reliable and valid (in accordance with positive correlation between the scores of a new apathy scale and the Starkstein’s apathy scale) instrument with a reproducible factor structure. When comparing clinical sample and control sample (59 female employees of the Federal Center for Cardiovascular Surgery named S.G. Sukhanov), significant differences were found both in the scores of a new apathy scale. It is concluded that a new apathy scale is a reliable and valid measure for assessing apathy and can be used for diagnostic purposes not only in psychological but also in psychiatric practice.
