Социальная мобильность управленческой элиты, ее образовательные капиталы и профессиональные траектории
The article reconstructed of those modern theoretical approaches that themed the plot of mobility of the elites. The conceptualization of the mobile aspect in the study of elites has been carried out both in a diverse foreign and Russian context. The study of the elite requires consideration of the context of its embeddedness, historicization. Through research attention to the “positional” elite, which belongs to a much wider social layer, the class-oriented social analysis and the plot of the social mobility of the elites, the channels for its recruitment, and the composition of its social capital are returned to the sociology of elites. This novel has one of the consequences of empirical attention to the profile of the origin of the elite as a set of social and educational-professional capitals. The problem of research access to the elite forces the search for open data to be streamlined. The article used a qualitative analysis of CV data of representatives of the top managerial elite, which allows us to characterize the processes of its reproduction and professional mobility. A career of CEO is prepared by a significant accumulated educational capital with complex dynamics: equal-represented educational strategies are allocated 1) to complete the educational path after economic education with managerial competencies, and 2) to complement engineering education with managerial competencies. The heads of large state and business corporations for the most part demonstrate the traditional type of reproduction, since their career paths reflect the type of specialist growing from bottom to top in the same enterprise / corporation / industry. In addition, factors affecting the status identity and career development of CEOs were found, such as previous experience in public service bureaucracy, military & security forces, university / academic expertise, family status of successor to business and welfare. There are also generational differences among the three age cohorts in the timing of achieving CEO positions: the younger generation builds a career faster by an average of 15 years compared with the older generation.
