The article is devoted to assessing the level of competition in the services market of railway rolling stock operators using the Herfindahl-Hirschman index (and, for reference, the concentration index) in dynamics for 2011-2019, as well as for 2019, not only for the operators market as a whole, but also for certain types of rolling stock (the market for the transportation of goods in open wagons, in covered wagons, tanks, grain carriers, cement trucks, universal and fitting platforms). It is shown that, firstly, today the market for operator services is quite competitive, the level of concentration on it can be considered low; and secondly, in general, the level of competition in the operators' market, despite some fluctuations, has tended to increase over the past 9 years.
