"Attitude towards health" is one of the main concepts of the sociology of health. It includes a system of value-motivational attitudes which connect the individual and society. Attitude towards health is a sociocultural phenomenon that represents a system of individual connections of the individual with various phenomena of the surrounding reality that promote or threaten health. The article presents the results of a study aimed at studying attitudes towards health among young Russians. Young respondents are sensitive to various manifestations of their body and aesthetic aspects of health, but at the same time don't show proper interest to health problems and demonstrate social passivity. Through diagnostics a value attitude towards health, a dominant low level of intensity was revealed. Health-building activities are also mainly at the middle level, which characterizes the health-improving system that is adequate to the health standards
