‘Science Is Universal-It Knows No Borders
Fuad Aleskerov, Tenured Professor and Director of the International Centre of Decision Choice and Analysis at HSE University, together with his colleagues, has developed methods of network analysis in bibliometrics that have made it possible to identify patterns in the appearance and citation of publications in academic journals, as well as their influence on each other. When one or a number of studies are frequently cited by a wide range of journals, this is an indicator that the research is of high quality. By contrast, extensive cross-citation within a limited group of journals increases the likelihood of identifying a network of predatory publications.

Утешение Сатирой: Марциан Капелла как литературный источник для Северина Боэция

С. 1369–1378.
Shakhov Y.

The paper presents some arguments that may prove literary influnce of Martianus Capella's allegorical encyclopedia 'De nuptiis Philologiae et Mercurii' upon Severinus Boethius' 'De consolatione Philosophiae'. Two episodes of 'De consolatione' come under examination. The first of them, the apparition of Philosophia in the opening scene of Book I, is shown to have close parallels with epiphanic scenes in Martianus Capella's 'De nuptiis'. The second episode, also from Book I of 'De consolatione', in which Philosophia compares Boethius to 'the ass with the lyre' (ὄνος λύρας), was probably inspirated with a dialogue between the Author and Satire in Book VIII of 'De nuptiis'.

Мы остановимся на мотиве, который Бахтин в четвертой главе «Проблем поэтики Достоевского» называет «мир наоборот», «monde à l’envers» и проследим его генезис во французских романах XII-XIII вв. ...

Vdovin A., Uspenskij P., Slavic Review 2021 Vol. 80 No. 3 P. 504–522
This article tackles the allegorical mode of Russian realism using Turgenev’s novella Spring Torrents (1872) and its political implications as a case study. As the authors argue, this deeply intimate story of love and moral fall can be read in the context of the “social imaginary” which, in Turgenev’s manner, is wrapped in motives and symbols correlating to ‘revolutionary’ and ‘reactionary’ discourses. The ...
