In this article an attempt is made to evaluation of permanent novelization of the criminal code. The author found that in less than twenty-one years action total number of articles of the Criminal code of the Russian Federation increased by almost exactly 30 %. During the same period, the number of offences contained in the Special part of the criminal code, increased by 64,5 %. While textual «volume» requirements of the Criminal code of the Russian Federation has increased more than two times. The average «speed» is the perfect novelization of the Criminal code of the Russian Federation for the last almost seven years (the last 1/3 of the term of the code) of his actions grew more than about 4 times. Many of the changes in the criminal code, made it haphazardly. A significant reduction in the rate of permanent revision of the Criminal code of the Russian Federation in the coming years should be expected.
