Our culture is a culture of reading and books. By analyzing poetics of reading and studying pretext peculiarities in Hahn's Das verborgene Wort and Ulickaja's Sonečka, the article suggests to consider the readers in both works as the central element of the intertextual and compositional organization of the novel.
