On the basis of general solution of the problem we considered feasible features and characteristics of the dispersion distortion for a rectangular pulse of microsecond duration with chaotic carrier while it is propagating through the cold plasma environment. The frequency leaps of a carrier wave are set based on Chebyshev`s polynomial mappings of the first kind, third order. It is shown that the distancing of the pulse from the origin led to its gradual transformation to a noise-like signal. For the duration of a pulse a variation of the power flux density for the radiation can significantly exceed its initial value
