Under the conditions of moral and ideological crisis social development of the personality in the family has become more acute. However social and economic challenges change greatly traditional patterns and values of family life. Families more often than ever use the services of paid helpers and children’s development centres, which leads to outsourcing of family functions. Children of older age are left at their own disposal or compensate the lack of family closeness through developing close contacts in peer groups. In order to prevent dilution of family values and patterns sociologist are challenged with the goal of finding ways of encouraging parents to use expert knowledge of parenting to overcome failures and mistakes of childrearing.
