Professor Blokh is the founder of "Communicaive and Paradigmatic Linguistics" school of thought which dates back to 1983, when the first edition of his monographic research and text-book "Theoratical Grammar of English" was published. The book reflects the results of research of Blokh and his numerous followers who formulated the innovative principles of presenting and analyzing language as a communicative-paradigmatic system and identified the perspectives of future research on the principles worked out.
