The object of theoretical reflection in the article is the experience of Indian civilization, which has embodied in the concept of "Dharma". Dharma is the main regulative concept for Indian culture, which so as Russian culture developed on a variety of ethnographic material. In the article the using of the concept of Dharma for the regulation of religious, moral, social and economic relations have been analysed.
