Correct comparison of different gas-filled ion-optical schemes has to be based on a numerical experiments with set of ions with the same model of interactions. The changing of collision model and set of particles may significantly influence on the results of numerical simulation of behavior of ion-optical schemes. We offer a numerical model, which allows carrying simulation of ion movement in gas for a wide range of ions. Our test particle model consists of the following components:1. Collision model and model оf ion movement between collisions is based on modified hard sphere model with additional parameter . 2. Numerical model of buffer gas is a numerical simulation of Maxwell distribution. 3.Cross-section model is derived from ‘Chapman–Enskog kinetic theory’. It gives possibility to tune modified hard sphere model in order to get best coincides of experimental and results from numerical simulation.
