The article focuses on the concept DWELLING in the English-speaking worldview of the Middle English period. The concept under discussion fi nds its representation within the frame of the nominative fi eld of DWELLING, constituted of language units, which happen to be interrelated and interdependent. Those relations between constituents of the nominative field appear to be crucial for the developmentof the language system representing the given concept.
