Применение технологий искусственного интеллекта в цифровой публичной дипломатии США: перспективы и возможности для России
This article explores the role of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in the digital public diplomacy of the United States and evaluates their potential relevance for Russian foreign policy strategies. As global communication becomes increasingly data-driven and technology-centric, AI is emerging as a key instrument for shaping narratives, analyzing public opinion, and enhancing the effectiveness of state-level international communication. Under the conditions of sanctions pressure and restrictions on the participation of Russian institutions in Western media ecosystems, a priority direction is the development of domes tic digital platforms and the use of nationally produced algorithmic solutions. The study aims to identify specific mechanisms through which AI supports U.S. digital diplomacy and to assess how these practices could be adapted within the Russian context. Methodologically, the research is based on a systematic, comparative and discourse analysis of policy documents, scholarly literature, and case studies of AI applications in diplomatic practice. Special attention is paid to examples such as sentiment analysis tools used to monitor global public opinion, AI-driven chatbots for audience engagement, and predictive analytics systems that enable real-time adaptation of communication strategies. The findings demonstrate that integrating AI into public diplomacy significantly enhances the precision, speed, and targeting of foreign policy messaging. These technolo gies also facilitate deeper interaction with international audiences and help counter disin formation. The article argues that adopting similar approaches could strengthen Russia’s communicative capacity, improve strategic messaging, and bolster its international image. The results contribute to a broader understanding of how digital transformation is reshap ing diplomacy and provide practical recommendations for applying AI tools in Russian foreign policy communication
