The handbook provides a detailed description of modern politics as a professional field of activity. Due to the understanding of the achievements of modern political science and their integration into the educational process, the publication is a tool for implementing a set of educational, ideological and socializing tasks facing the modern system of humanitarian education. The concept of the publication assumes the use of the heuristic potential of political science for the analysis of modern political processes. The theoretical diversity of research approaches with an emphasis on the Russian intellectual tradition is projected onto the consideration of modern political practices.
The structure includes six sections that characterize the key dimensions of modern politics. The methodological foundations of the publication include various research strategies based on a civilizational approach, which had not previously been adequately represented in the educational literature on the profile of political science. Its use to analyze modern political reality allows us to reveal the essence of political processes in a new way and provide a tool for comparative analysis of the power of political institutions.
The team of authors includes leading experts in the fields of political research. The publication contains an extensive methodological framework.
It is addressed to students of humanitarian specialties of universities of the Russian Federation.
