The relevance of developing models and research methods for resource as well as computational justification of IaaS design solutions is shown. Based on the results of the analysis of IaaS deployment models and the selected dynamic bit traffic model, a model of resource provision for IaaS services is obtained. It was determined and formalized scientific problem of estimating the number of virtual connections IaaS, the results of which received a new optimization model of the system “sources - boundary nodes” IaaS and developed a method of covering areas to calculate the total number of virtual connections IaaS. The obtained scientific results can be used as a basis for automating the computational justification of multi-variant IaaS design solutions at the pre-project stage.
