The growing role of emotional, personal, and meaning in modern family makes possible for pets to become a full member of the family. The role of pets in maintaining the homeostatic regulation during family crisis is increasing. The Bowen Theory which view family as an emotional unit provides explanation how pets incorporates into a family. The most important processes are triangulation and projection which are supported by antropomorphisation of pets by the citizens. The most frequent scenarios involving pets that result 647 in the absorption of anxiety within the family system when it passes normative crises are «family reunification», «distribution of roles», «triangles», and «maintenance of the separation of adult children».
