In recent years, negative personality traits have attracted research attention. One of the examples is the Dark Triad, which is a constellation of three personality traits: Machiavellianism, narcissism, and psychopathy. Some Dark Triad measures have been created. The article is devoted to the adaptation and validation of the Short Dark Triad (SD3) measure. We examined the structure, reliability, and validity of the items and scales in samples of 459 participants (69,5 % of them were female). Two versions of the questionnaire were offered: the full one (27 items) and the revised one (18 items). The structures of both versions correspond to the original SD3. The alpha reliabilities were 0,72 for Machiavellianism, 0,75 for narcissism, and 0,65 for psychopathy. The test-retest reliabilities were good for Machiavellianism and narcissism, and appropriate for psychopathy. To evaluate the convergent validity of SD3, it was compared with the Russian adaptation of HEXACO-60. The Dark Triad traits have negative relationships with Honesty-Humilityty, Emotionality, and Agreeableness. This study indicates that SD3 provides efficient, reliable, and valid measures of the personality traits included in the Dark Triad.
In the present work, russian and foreign methods of calculating one of the indicators of testability, the average recovery time, are analyzed. Revealed and justified the need to adjust their mathematical apparatus, taking into account the combination of the methods considered. Based on the conducted research: the application program for calculating the average recovery time according to the methods considered.
Development of the questionnaire “People and plants” aimed at assessing individual variety in person’s interaction with the plant world. The method’s relevancy for studies on the restorative function of the natural environment is substantiated. 732 respondents participated in the study (Mage = 19.1, SDage = 2.1, 549 female, 137 male, 46 did not indicate their gender). The questionnaire includes 32 statements measured on a four-point scale, and five sub-scales: Joy, Esthetics, Practice, Closeness to nature, and Ecology. The new tool has satisfactory psychometric characteristics (retest reliability and consistency) and convergent validity, verified by comparison with questionnaires Nature connectedness and Environmental identity. Gender differences are found: all scores except Practice are higher in the female group. The questionnaire can be recommended for research, educational and psycho-developmental programs.
In practical medicine, a diagnostic procedure is used only when it can be interpreted at the individual level. The aim of this work was to systematically investigate the relative and absolute reliability of different TMS motor maps parameters. 18 young healthy male right-handed volunteers were enrolled. Two TMS motor mapping sessions of three right-hand muscles were separated by 6-10 days. The analysis was performed using TMSmap software (http://tmsmap.ru). For reliability assessment, intra-class correlation coefficient (ICC) and smallest detectable changes (SDC) were calculated, while for quantitative comparison of the excitability profiles we used a novel earth mover's distance metrics (EMD), the convergence of the parameters depending on the number of stimuli was estimated.
