Scientists Develop Algorithm for More Reliable Processors in Data Centres
Researchers from HSE MIEM and Samara University have developed the LRF-3D algorithm to automatically bypass idle nodes in three-dimensional networks-on-chip. Thanks to its hierarchical architecture, the algorithm outperforms existing solutions in both speed and path accuracy, improving processor reliability for use in data centres, supercomputers, and AI computing. The source code and test results are publicly available.

Researchers Develop Method for Direct Generation of Regulatory DNA
Researchers at HSE University have developed a model for generating promoters and enhancers—DNA sequences that regulate gene activity. The model works directly with DNA nucleotides, without first transforming them into a continuous numerical representation. This solution could be useful for applications in synthetic biology and gene therapy. The study results were presented at the ICLR 2026 Workshop ‘Generative AI in Genomics (Gen^2): Barriers and Frontiers.’

Social Integration: At the Crossroads of Knowledge and Values
The International Laboratory for Social Integration Research (ILSIR) at HSE University studies the challenges faced by vulnerable groups and explores ways to help them participate fully in everyday life. To develop effective solutions, the laboratory’s researchers combine cutting-edge methods with practical fieldwork. In this interview with the HSE News Service, Laboratory Head Elena Iarskaia-Smirnova discusses the laboratory’s work.

Foreword

P. 13–14.
Seleznyov N.
The history of Christianity in India has attracted the attention of many scholars, and an interested reader could find numerous books on the subject, classic as well as recently published ones. The book, for which I am honoured to write this foreword, is however quite a special one. Modern research methods in historical studies require a space between the scholar and his subject matter, the distance still being kept even when the scholar finally masters what he or she is treating. Students are taught today that the mastery of their material can only be achieved if they keep critical and analytical minds. Yet, when they touch on the matter of history, they soon find out that it lives its own life. Moving traditions and fascinating legends, along with reliable facts, form a milieu m which different people are seen to act, and interpret one another’s action differently. Critical analysis here is often insufficient. One needs a guide who, while being a good scholar, is still deeply involved in what has happened. someone who can both teach history and tell eye-opening stories. The author of the present book is such a well-educated and experienced guide.

This contribution offers a preliminary survey of the diverse contexts and means through which veneration of saints among Syriac Christians interacted with the lives of ordinary believers, influencing their religious practices and worldviews, and, in turn, undergoing changes as a result of their agency. However, given the scarcity of regional and period-specific studies on the ...
